Description of Tolcox Toltrazuril:

Coccidiostatic for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis of broilers, young chickens, turkeys, geese and ducks.

Ingredients:

Contains 2.5% of Toltrazuril as an active ingredient in a special solvent. The drug is a colorless, odorless liquid.

Pharmacologial Properties of Tolcox Toltrazuril 2,5% 1000 ml:

ATS vet classification code QP51AJ01 – Toltrazuril.
Tolcox 2.5% is an anticoccidial drug of the triazinetrione group.
Toltrazuril, which is part of the drug, has a wide spectrum of coccidiocidal action on all stages of intracellular development (merogony and homogeny) of coccidia (eimeria) parasitizing birds, including Eimeria acervulina, Eimeria brunetti, Eimeria neimr, Eimeria anseris, Eimeria truncata, Eimeria maxima, Eimeria tenella, Eimeria nosens, Eimeria anatis, Eimeri adanailovi, including coccidia resistant to other anticoccidial agents.
Toltrazuril blocks respiratory enzymes and has a detrimental effect on mitochondria and the processes of division of the coccidia nucleus, disrupting the formation of macrogametocytes and causing the death of parasites.

Indications for use Tolcox Toltrazuril 2,5% 1000 ml:

Treatment of avian coccidiosis caused by different types of eimeria:

broiler chickens, replacement chickens – E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. maxima, E. brunetti, E. mitis;
turkeys – E. adenoeides, E. meleagrimitis;
geese, ducks – E. anseris, E. nosens, E. anatis, E. danailovi, E. truncata.

Contraindications for use Tolcox Toltrazuril 2,5% 1000 ml:

Do not use in laying hens whose eggs are used for human nutrition.

Environmental safety:

Only make up sufficient drinking water for requirements. Wash out empty container with water 3 times when medicating birds and add washings to drinking water.
Store litter from treated houses as long as possible. However, it should only be stored where there is no risk of polluting surface water or groundwater. Do not apply to agricultural land at a rate greater than 1.5 tonnes/hectare/year. If spreading within an NVZ ensure that the NVZ action program rules are complied with.
The principle metabolite of toltrazuril is persistent and mobile in groundwater.
Any unused veterinary medicinal product or waste materials derived from such veterinary medicinal products should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.

Precautions of Tolcox Toltrazuril 2,5% 1000 ml:

Slaughter of broiler chickens for meat is allowed after 14 days, turkeys, geese and ducks – 16 days after the last use of the drug. The meat received by the specified date is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.

Storage:

In tightly closed original packaging. In a dry, dark place at a temperature of 0 – 25°C.

Shelf life:

2 years from date of manufacture. After opening the vial, the drug is suitable for use within 12 weeks.
