Pharmacological Properties of Metronidazole 99% Powder:

Metronidazole is effective against a number of protozoa, as well as against amoebas, trichomonas, balantidia, giardia and histomonads. When used internally, the drug is rapidly absorbed in the body, penetrating into the tissues and organs of the animal. Metronidazole crosses the placenta and has a cumulative effect in the liver. The drug leaves the body of the animal after a day or 2 days unchanged, mainly with urine or waste products.

Contraindication to the use of the drug is sensitivity to the main component of the drug, as well as pregnancy.

Precautions and Warnings of Metronidazole 99% Powder:

Human consumption of the meat of an animal taking the drug is possible only after 3 days from the last day of treatment. The use of milk in human food is possible three days after the use of the drug. Food products received from farm animals before the marked time are disposed of according to the conclusion of a veterinarian.

Side  Effects:

During treatment with the drug in pets, an allergic reaction to the main component metronidazole may occur. At the first symptoms of allergy, treatment should be stopped and desensitizing therapy should be carried out.
