Description of Amoclox DC Cloxacillin suspension 4.5 g:

Pharmacologial Properties of Amoclox DC Cloxacillin suspension 4.5 g:
Amoclox DC – a synonym for Orbenin DC – an antibacterial drug. Cloxacillin, which is a part of the preparation, has a wide spectrum of bactericidal action, is active against gram-positive bacteria, usually secreted from the secretion of mammary glands of cows during the dry period: streptococci (including Streptococcus agalactiae), staphylococci (including strains resistant to penicillin ) and corynebacteria. Amoclox DC, due to the use in its composition of a poorly soluble salt of Cloxacillin and a special base, has a long bactericidal action; its intracisternal administration allows to provide the therapeutic effect of the drug in the treatment of cows in the dry period during 3-4 weeks. Cloxacillin is excreted from the body with urine and feces, in lactating animals also with milk. Amaclox DC in terms of the effect on the body refers to low-risk substances, in recommended doses does not have a local-irritant effect on breast tissue.

Treatment of mastitis in cows during the dry period and for the prevention of possible infections during the dry period.
Contraindications for use Amoclox DC Cloxacillin suspension 4.5 g:
The use of Amaclox DC does not exclude the use of other medicinal products for animals other than preparations for intercusternal administration.
Do not use during lactation, as well as less than 28 days before calving.
Do not use in lactating cows. Do not use in cows that have a short dry period. Do not use later than 49 days before calving. Do not administer to animals sensitive to penicillins.
Side effects:
When using Amaclox DC in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications in cows, as a rule, are not observed. Amaclox DC should not be used in case of individual hypersensitivity of the animal to cloxacillin.
Precautions of Amoclox DC Cloxacillin:
Amaclox DC is forbidden to use cows during lactation, and also less than 28 days before calving. Milk for food purposes can be used no earlier than 252 hours after the calving of cows. Milk, obtained after the calving of cows before the expiration of the prescribed period, can be used after boiling in animal feed. Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 28 days after the introduction of Amaclox DC. Meat of animals, who were forced to die before the expiration of this period, can be used for the production of meat and bone meal.
Pesonal precautions:
When working with Amoclox DC, you should observe the general rules of personal hygiene and safety, provided when working with animal medicines. Empty injectors for medicinal products should not be used for domestic purposes. They are placed in a plastic bag and thrown into a garbage container. Amaclox DC should be stored out of the reach of children.
Storage:
Store Amaclox DC at a temperature of 5 to 25 C. In a dry, sheltered from direct sunlight spot.
Shelf life:
Subject to storage conditions – 2 years from the date of manufacture.
Amaclox DC should not be used after the expiry date.
